Syncing your iPhone with Zimbra

To Sync your iPhone with Zimbra -
- Touch the Settings Icon.
- Touch the Mail, Contacts, Calendars button.
- Touch the Microsoft Exchange button.
- You will be prompted to enter in your Exchange account info.....
- Enter in your Zimbra email address.
- Enter in your Zimbra domain. (The part after the @ symbol in your email address)
- Enter in your Zimbra username. (The part before the @ symbol in your email address)
- Give the account a description that you can use to identify it from the other email accounts on your iPhone.
- Your iPhone will attempt to verify your account info.
- A dialog box will be displayed, titled Unable to Verify Certificate.
- Choose Accept
- Touch the Next button
- A new field will appear, titled Server
- Enter in mail.npserv.org in that field
- Touch the Next button

Choosing what to sync
- You can now choose what Zimbra items you want to sync with your iPhone.
- Most people just choose Mail and Calendar.
- By default, Contacts is switched off.
*NOTE* If you turn on Contacts, your existing iPhone contacts will be replaced with your Zimbra contacts! This is why most people don't turn Contacts on.
- Under the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings, you will now see your Zimbra account.
- Touch your Zimbra account name to change the settings on it.

Additional Settings
- An important setting to change is the Mail Days to Sync setting.
- Touch Mail Days to Sync and choose your preferred value.
*NOTE* If you choose No Limit all of your Zimbra Mail will be available on your iPhone. This will cause the initial sync to take a while.

Using Mail
- To view your Zimbra mail, click the Home button to go back to the main icon screen.
- Touch Mail
- Touch the name of your Zimbra account.
- It will say Connecting at the bottom of the screen.
- Depending on how many Mail Days to Sync you selected, it might take a while for the initial sync to complete and your mail folders to show up.

Using Calendar
- To view your Calendar, click on the Home button to go back to the main icon screen
- Touch Calendar
- You will now see your Zimbra Calendar on your iPhone.
- Meeting invitations and reminders will display as pop-up messages on your iPhone.
