Creating PDFs from Office

To convert an OpenOffice document to a PDF-

  • In OpenOffice, select File and Print from the application menu.

  • In the print settings window, change the Name of the Printer to PDF_Printer.

  • Click OK

  • To retrieve the file, double-click the Home Folder icon on your desktop.
  • If you do not have a Home Folder on your desktop-
    • click on the Ubuntu start button.
    • click on Places in the drop-down menu.
    • click on Home Folder.

  • In the Home Folder, double-click the PDF folder icon. The printed PDFs are in this folder.
