Create a zip file in Linux

To create a zip file in Linux-

• Right click on the file you wish to compress and select "Create Archive" from the pop-up menu (Fig.1).
• In the Create Archive dialog box, use the drop down menu in the upper right corner to change the file type to .zip.
• Select where you would like to save the new file (Fig. 3).
• Click the Create button (Fig. 4).
